Let These Flowers Put The Sunshine In Your Day!

There has been alot of rain about the last few days so I thought I would post these beautiful floral pics to brighten up your day. I don't know where the summer has gone, is this the end? It was definitely chilly last night! I love summer florals! I hope to see a few more before Autumn begins!

Another Beautiful Wedding to Share...

A few weeks ago brought another beautiful wedding. The wedding of Lydia & Phil. The ceremony took place at the stunning Sewerby Hall Orangery. It is such a beautiful hall and the grounds are in full bloom for summer. After the marriage ceremony itself we was treated to strawberries and champagne outside. We then took the land train along the cliff tops to the reception.

The night before me, Jade, Lydia, Lydia's mum and some of her friends went to the Expanse to set up all the tables and decorate them for the wedding. Here are a few snaps of some of the decorative bits and bobs.

The Gorgeous Seating Plan.

Little Bottles of Jack Daniels for the Men.

Little Jars of Jam and a small cracker for the Ladies.

The seating plan was made by the lovely Vicky Trainor. I Love Vicky's beautiful delicate florals which  she has layered together and added a slight touch of embroidered detail.
It made a fantastic centre piece for everyone to walk in to see.

Sewerby Hall & The Happy Couple Below... Mr & Mrs Whiting!

Confetti!

The Bride also made these cute teacup candles which decorated the centre of each table. They looked stunning at night and lit the room perfect. At sunset we headed to the beach to take some photo's. Here's one I took of the Bride Lydia. She looks simply stunning in her dress.

Still Knitting!

Some of you may have seen on my FB page I have mentioned that I've been going knitting crazy. On a wednesday, every fortnight I go to Brid Bay Knitter's Knitting Club, held at Seabirds in Bridlington. We was approached by one of the ladies who attend whether we would like to be part of a project she is doing through till September.

This task included producing a scarf in a basic knit, using camouflage wool, 4mm needle, 50 stitches and 45 inches long. When the scarves have been produced they are going to the soldiers in Afghanistan. As a basic knitter myself I thought this would be a great project for me to practice my knitting, and its also for a fantastic cause.

So far I am at 25 inches, I aren't as fast as the other ladies who seem to get one done a week, but I will keep you up to date with my progress.

Staithes By the Sea!

On the way home we stopped at the lovely fishing town of Staithes! It wasn't at all as busy as Saltburn but was so beautiful. Every view made a lovely picture.

Down many of the little streets were cute and quirky holiday cottages. I don't know if we just had visited on a peaceful day but if your wanting a break from a busy city or town this is the place to choose. Although the seagulls were very chatty.

Using Instagram again, I can't seem to get enough of it. It is such a great app though to share beautiful imagery. Here is a could I took and edited with the app.

Knitting Crazy @ Saltburn Pier!

To mark the Olympics and Jubilee this year there has been some extreme and amazing knitting going on! It was such a fantastic surprise and really added to how lovely the pier and Saltburn sea front is.

I have a few favourite's, these two in particular. But each one has its own personality.

The Queens Jubilee 2012, I love the Queen below.

A Cup of Tea Anyone?

This is so true! I bet there has been some strong waves and wind trying to batter the knitting but it seems to be standing strong!
